When is the best time to use Ayurvedic teas to support respective bodily functions?
Herbal blends for regeneration, refreshment, invigoration and airways are best taken on an empty stomach in the morning just after waking up. Cleansing blends are best taken in the morning and at night before sleep. Herbs to improve functioning of intestines, expectoration, urinary tract and reproductive organs are best taken an hour before meal. Herbs to support the liver, spleen, stomach and digestion can be taken with meals. Herbal blends that reduce tension and headache, support brain, heart and lung activity can be taken after meals, and blends that enhance rest and sound sleep should be taken an hour before bedtime.
