Musculo-Skeletal System

The movement of the body is ensured by the bones, joints, muscles and the fatty tissue that nourishes them. Bones are the most resistant component of the human body. They persist for centuries and contain the karmic information of our lives.

Back Pain and Mental Stress

The muscles ensure the harmonic mobility, muscle coordination, circulation of fluids and protection of bodily organs. As a result of mental stress or accumulated emotion of anxiety, melancholy and anger, the muscle experience tension and stiffness which is a frequent cause of back pain in the lumbar, thoracic or cervical spine.

Bones (asthi) not only represent the musculo-skeletal system, but also have a protective and supportive function for vital organs such as the brain, heart, lungs, etc. Their other important role is the production of red blood cells in the bone marrow. Bone quality is also linked to the healthy function of the colon and thyroid gland, which regulates the calcium content in the blood and influences the hormonal balance and metabolism of the body. The by-products in the formation of bone tissue are teeth, nails and hair.

Muscles (mamsa) provide the body with strength, proper functioning of the bodily organs and joint mobility. It makes up almost half of the body weight and is formed primarily from the supply of sufficient protein from the daily diet. Developed muscle tissue strengthens physical and mental stability, healthy self-esteem, endurance and courage. A by-product of this tissue is skin, earwax and tartar.

Fat (meda) gives the body energy, suppleness, sensitivity, softness and a sense of security. Fatty tissue is involved in the formation of cellular structures and is essential for the healthy functioning of the bodily organs, nourishment of bones and cartilage. It provides lubrication for muscles, tendons, joints, bones, hair, eyes, skin and stool. Fat is also important for thermoregulation of the body. Ligaments, muscle attachments and sweat are by-products of fatty tissue.
